Dunning-Kruger Effect: cognitive bias wherein unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than is accurate. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their ineptitude. She ignored the “No Trespassing” sign as she slipped her way through the bars of the construction site. Noblesville High School’s renovations had begun when the students had gotten out for winter break, and Marzia was amazed at the progress. School would start back up in a week.
